Weekly Classes - Code of Conduct

At Sensory Stars, the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all children and families participating in our sessions is our top priority. To maintain a positive and respectful environment, we kindly ask all participants—both adults and children—to follow this Code of Conduct:


1. Respect for Others
Be kind, inclusive, and respectful to other children, parents, carers, and staff.
Bullying, aggressive behavior, or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
Encourage play, not competition—everyone learns and plays at their own pace.


2. Parental/Carer Supervision
A parent or carer must remain on-site and supervise their child(ren) at all times.
Please ensure your child engages safely with the play materials and space.


3. Safe Play Practices
Our materials are designed to be non-toxic and taste-safe, but not meant for consumption.
Children are welcome to explore with their senses, but please discourage intentional eating.
Report any broken or damaged items to a staff member immediately.


4. Health & Hygiene
If your child is unwell or showing signs of illness, we kindly ask you to stay home.
Handwashing or sanitizing is encouraged before and after play sessions.
Allergen-sensitive materials are used (gluten, dairy & nut-free), but please alert us to any specific allergies or sensitivities before your session.


5. Clean-Up & Care
We appreciate your help in encouraging your child to tidy up after play when possible.
Please treat our play items and facilities with care so they can be enjoyed by all.


6. Photography & Privacy
We may take photos during sessions for promotional use (only with your prior consent).
Please do not photograph other children without permission from their parent or carer.


7. Feedback & Concerns
We are always open to feedback and here to address any concerns you may have. Please speak to a member of staff during or after your session.


8. Refund Policy
We are happy to offer a full refund if you cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice before the start of your session. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event


9. Cancellation Policy
Sensory Stars reserves the right to cancel a session if fewer than 4 families are registered.
If this happens, we’ll contact you directly with options to: a) Transfer your payment to a future session, or b) Receive a refund for the canceled class.

 

 

 

Sensory Stars Party Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your party date and time.
  • The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event.
  • Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

2. Party Packages & Guest Limits

  • Each party package includes a set number of children. Additional children may incur an extra fee.
  • Final guest count must be confirmed at least 5 days before the event.

3. Supervision

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times during the party.
  • Sensory Stars staff will facilitate the sensory activities, but parents/guardians are responsible for general supervision.

4. Safety & Allergies

  • It is the responsibility of the booking parent/guardian to inform Sensory Stars of any allergies, sensitivities, or special needs.
  • While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

5. Venue Responsibility

  • If the party is held at a client’s location, the space must be safe, clean, and suitable for sensory activities.
  • Sensory Stars is not liable for damage to the client’s property or venue unless caused by our staff’s negligence.

6. Weather Policy (for Outdoor Parties)

  • In case of inclement weather, the party may be rescheduled based on availability. We will work with you to find a suitable alternative date.

7. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • The $50 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • If you cancel more than 7 days before the scheduled party, any additional payments made will be refunded (minus the deposit).
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable.
  • Rescheduling is possible based on availability and must be requested at least 5 days in advance.
